Connecticut's Historic Gardens Day is an annual event that attracts garden lovers from throughout the state and beyond. The contest is open to all Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts artists.

Participating artist for the 2024 and 2025 Stonington Lobster Trap Tree, Stonington, CT.
The Stonington Lobster Trap Tree, deemed “one of the most amazing trees in the world" by the BBC, is draped in one-of-a-kind artwork of CT and RI artists , along with buoys created to promote local businesses and some created by area families for a total of 460 buoys. The tree pays homage to the town’s renowned fishing industry and proceeds from the Artist's Buoy Auction go towards the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce.

To celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2025, the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce (Westerly, RI) has created a holiday art installation of 100 life-sized, 6-foot nutcrackers which will be scattered throughout Westerly, Pawcatuck, Stonington, Mystic, and Voluntown this holiday season. Each nutcracker is an original work of art, hand painted by local artists.
